The Brew City Pole for forward facing sonar is the best bang for the buck pole on the market. Smooth non segmented rotation, carbon shaft (Same build as a trolling motor) and locking pin features are just a few of the things that make this great.
We've tried the competition made out of aluminum, and we have tried other plastic poles, and the Brew City is flat out the best one out there.
The Brew City pole comes in two different shaft lengths, 60+72". If you're using a bigger deep V hull go with the 72". If you have a bass boat, or smaller aluminum boat, you can use the 60". For the extra $10, the insurance policy is cheap. If you want to get technical, figure out where on the boat you're going to stand when using forward facing sonar and how high you want the pole off the gunnel. Keep in mind, the pole does have an angled up handle. Next measure from the gunnel down to the bottom of the keel of the boat. Add those two measurements up and make a decision from there.
The poles do cut very well in a miter saw, or a traditional hack / sawzall.
In order to use these, you will need the bracket that comes with your forward facing sonar to clamp on. Also consider the 0 degree mounts, so you're getting a clear direction on where the fish are at the links below
